FLUX Kontext is a family of models from Black Forest Labs, specifically designed for editing existing images based on text instructions. The fundamental difference from regular inpainting generation: Kontext processes the image as context and strictly adheres to the constraint 'change only what is specified.' A person's face, pose, background — everything not mentioned in the instruction remains untouched.
The Pro version is optimal for most tasks: changing backgrounds, recoloring objects, adding and removing elements, changing image style. The Max version is used when strict adherence to detailed instructions and high-quality commercial-level results are needed. The Multi version accepts two input images — this allows, for example, placing a product from one photo onto a background from another or transferring the style of one image to another.
